If there is one thing we love at Hopono, it is to offer you brands that we can be proud of. In these times of increasing offers of fast fashion, this catastrophic practice socially and ecologically, we want to offer you as many committed and responsible brands as possible.
This is why I chose to talk to you today about the very pretty Hindbag brand, another star of the moment, and it deserves it!
The story
It began in 2012. As part of his studies at business school, Pierre Monnier, the founder of the brand, collaborated with the NGO Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute (SSMI), based in Delhi, to have tote bags made for the communication needs of companies. The goal is to allow the NGO to no longer depend on donations thanks to fixed income.
SSMI already had its textile business where it trained women from disadvantaged neighborhoods in sewing to enable them to become independent .
Once the project was completed, Pierre suggested to the NGO that they continue working together on designing kits and tote bags for businesses, and thus founded Hindbag in 2015.
All profits from the NGO help to support SSMIl's 3 main commitments:
- Women Empowerment (process which tends to lead to the emancipation of women)
- children's education
- the fight against malnutrition
The brand, which initially only customized textiles for businesses, then developed a range of colorful bags and fashion accessories in GOTS-certified organic cotton for the general public in 2019.
All materials used by Hindbag are 100% eco-responsible and labeled. A large part is made of 100% organic cotton, labeled GOTS. The label guarantees at least 95% organic fibers without pesticides and GMOs, with a formal ban on child labor and lower water and energy consumption...
Hindbag's great growth means, for example, in 2023 the increase in the capacity of the SSMI NGO school: 750 students in 2023 to 1100 in 2024! In addition, the women who work for Hindbag earn about 3 times the average salary in India. They work right next to their children's school and college so that it is convenient for them. A good reason to turn your back on fast fashion... Don't hesitate to watch

The festival of colors in India
If the current collection is named Holi , it is in reference to the festival of colors in India. This superb festival is a Hindu religious festival that takes place every year and marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Tradition has it that people throw colored powders and water on each other. This festival has its origins in Hindu mythology.
The colours used each have a particular meaning : green represents harmony, orange optimism, blue vitality and red joy and love.
Hindbag products
The Holi collection includes the following bright colors: purple, fuchsia pink, orange and green. You can match the
bob with it. It is perfectly cut, it will also be my "anti-sunstroke look" ally of the summer (in pink for me) ... There are of course other colors, pastel, to satisfy everyone's tastes. Find all Hindbag products

It is very practical because the look is important but the fanny pack must also be adapted to what you have to carry. And if you order it on our webshop, then the guide is ideal. Not bad, right?
Man or woman?
Mhmmm, we ask ourselves this question less and less and that's a good thing! All the fanny pack models are really unisex, and the photos are there to prove it to you. A casual and trendy look for him as well as for her.
