Noël Nippon : cette année, Hopono vous emmène au Japon !

Given that Christmas comes around every year, it's great to be able to vary the pleasures of the season by giving a theme to your decorations, your tree and, why not, your presents? This year we've chosen to take you on a trip to Japan! And why is that? Because so many of you are crazy about Japanese pop culture, and so are we! The proof is in our great choice in shop and on the website.

In our Japanese Christmas section, we bring you 3 of the country's specialities...

Kawaï

Young and old, you love it, we can tell! In these gloomy times, cuteness in all its forms cheers us up.

It can be used for animals, people, objects, landscapes, situations and even ideas.

This year under the tree, there will be some incredible kawaii plush toys, like the Sushi Cloud Cat Plush. It's so soft and cuddly, we can't resist it!

Keyrings, stationery and why not a Burger Bear figurine made from mini bricks?

This construction and patience game contains 853 pieces to make this magnificent little girl dressed up as a bear....or a hamburger. It's hard to say. The box also includes a construction manual. Once completed, the figurine measures approximately 15 cm. Children aged 8 and over can try their hand at this great activity.

Personally, I love the Pascale cuddly toy

Pascale is a little girl who loves dressing up. She can be seen dressed up as a dinosaur or a white rabbit, but this time she's dressed up as a raspberry sorbet rabbit: a beautiful pink that goes perfectly with her little pink cheeks and mischievous eyes.

Typical products for a 100% Japanese Christmas

For fans of Japan, we've unearthed some marvels! Wall Editions posters on Kyoto, chopsticks for tasting Asian dishes, etc. Special mention for traditional aprons: the Maekake.

With their retro charm, Anything's Maekake aprons have recently gained in popularity, becoming a popular choice for kitchen and outdoor uniforms and clothing. By offering them in our e-shop and concept store, we're showcasing Anything's exceptional combination of handcrafted quality, history and timeless design.

Anything's unique method involves using looms that are over a hundred years old, resulting in a richly textured indigo fabric that gives Maekake a distinctive aesthetic. These aprons, in addition to their original practical function of protecting workers' backs, have recently gained increasing notoriety as a trendy uniform or garment of choice for cooking and outdoor activities.

T-shirts are no exception. The magnificent Neko Ramen Ukiyo-e T-shirt is a brilliant fusion of Japanese tradition and modernism. Inspired by ancient Japanese prints from the 16th and 17th centuries, enhance your style with this T-shirt that combines classic art and modern humour. They are made from combed organic cotton. This process separates the cotton fibres from each other, keeping only the longest to create an extremely resistant yarn. You'll be able to keep your T-shirt for longer and still look cool.

Wrap your Christmas presents in furoshiki and you'll not only be giving the most beautiful gifts but also inspiring people to recycle. Here's a reminder of how to wrap your Christmas presents!

Lava lamps and neon lights for a flashy Christmas

We round off today's selection with lava lamps and neon lights, for a Tokyo Nights version of Christmas. The lava lamp is much more than a simple accessory, it's an invitation to inject personality, magic and colour into your space. With its range of soothing tones, the lava lamp is the perfect gift for Christmas!

As for the neon lights, the hardest part will really be choosing (banana, lips, burger, messages...) because they're all great! Create a trendy, flashy decor with these funky lights.

See you soon,

さようなら
